TiNi™ Flat Pack

Developed Specifically for “New Space” Applications

The EBAD TiNi™ Flat Pack was developed specifically for “New Space” applications such as hold down and release of solar arrays for cubesats, deployable flexible antennas and launch locks. It is small in size, fast acting, and a cost effective way to support and release preloads up to 50 lbf.

NEA® (Non-Explosive Actuators) – As with all EBAD products, the Flat Pack is non-pyrotechnic and field reset-able with a minimum qualified life of 50 cycles.

Field Reset-able and ReliableThe Flat Pack is reset by simply putting the release nut back into the device and pushing through the reset hole with a simple tool. The mechanism automatically engages with the release mut allowing immediate testing.

Fast ActingBy directly passing current through the SMA element, EBAD Micro Flat Pack performs in millisecond time frame making them ideal for instantaneous release applications.

12Vdc Bus Voltage – The Flat Pack is designed to operate from a 12 Volt bus voltage as commonly available for Cube Sat deployments and small deployables

Auto Shut-Off SwitchSimple Auto Shut Off Switch is incorporated into each Flat Pack to protect the Trigger.  This makes them very “user friendly” and operable from a wide range of current and voltages.
